Valerie wins the first ever Pet Fashion Show – Morung Express

Dimapur, November 28 (MExN): The two-day Pet Winter Fest, first of its kind in Nagaland, initiated and organised by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals ( SPCA) Dimapur concluded on Sunday at the Dimapur Government College Ground.
On the 2nd day, the pet fashion show was the main attraction where 30 dogs of different breeds, dressed in different costumes participated in the competition, and won the hearts of the excited spectators, a report from the DIPR stated.
In the fashion show competition, Valerie who was dressed as a Pink Bride was adjudged as the winner while, huge Marcus and dainty Cuddles were placed in the 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The judges for the show were Dr Abeny Khuvung, Stephen Lotha and Azungla Imsong. The winners received gift hampers, vouchers and cash prizes. All the 30 participants also received gift hampers.
The fest was organised in aid of a rescue van and other activities of the SPCA.
Other highlights of the programme included live music by various Naga artists who performed for a cause.
