Professional Plastics buys former Lads Pet Supplies warehouse – Buffalo Business First – The Business Journals
Professional Plastics Inc. is doubling its local footprint by acquiring a recently vacated warehouse/distribution center in southern Erie County.
Professional Plastics, through its Eden Evans RE LLC affiliate, paid $2.65 million for the vacant, former Lads Pet Supplies Inc. warehouse at 1701 Eden Evans Center Road, Evans, according to a Sept. 16 filing in the Erie County Clerk’s office.
The 41,839-square-foot building, constructed in 1997, was owned by 1701 Eden Evans LLC.
Lads Pet Supplies, the building’s long time tenant, relocated to Warrendale, Pennsylvania, in late 2021.
Jeremy Kietzke, executive director of corporate operations for the privately owned Professional Plastics Inc., based in Fullerton, California, said the Evans building will be an adjunct site for the company’s 40,000-square-foot Eastern U.S. headquarters at 145 Mid County Drive, Orchard Park. The Evans building will be used for warehousing and distribution.
Professional Plastics makes industrial-strength plastic products used in a number of industries.
“We are expanding our business in that area,” Kietzke said. “We have such a strong presence in Western New York that it was only natural to stay and expand there.”
Kietzke said the Evans building is being renovated and should be fully operational by early 2023. Professional Plastics will hire a to-be-determined number of employees for the Evans site.
