Patriotic-Themed Dog Show This Weekend In Morganton – kiss951.com
I can’t believe that the 4th of July is only a few days away! Lots of folks take vacations this time of year, but if you’re staying local, you may wanna check this out. There’s a patriotic-themed dog fashion show happening on Saturday in Morganton.
The Morganton Downtown Development Association is bringing back this fun event for local residents and their four-footed friends. According to The News Herald, the organization’s second annual “Dogs on the Catwalks, Pooches on Parade” canine fashion show will happen from 10:30 a.m. to noon this Saturday, July 2. The show takes place at the amphitheater on the grounds of the Burke County courthouse.
If you’re a dog owner, you’re invited to bring your pet out in its best patriotic outfit and have them strut down the catwalk showing off their modeling skills. You should dress up in red, white, and blue too.
Last year about 35 dogs participated in the show. You can register your dog for the show for free at the event. And if you’re one of the first 50 contestants, your pup will get a free bone. Score!
The dogs will be judged in the following categories:
Even if you don’t want to enter your pup in the contest, it’ll be fun to watch! You can get more information on the event at downtownmorganton.com.
