Morning Pointe Communities Collect 784 School Supplies For The Samaritan Center – The Chattanoogan

Chattanooga-area Morning Pointe Senior Living communities concluded their school supply drive for The Samaritan Center in Ooltewah, together collecting 784 school supplies.
Bags and bags of paper, pencils, crayons, markers, notebooks, folders, scissors, backpacks, glue sticks and other school items came in among five local Morning Pointe communities and the Morning Pointe Senior Living corporate office. The donations came in as part of The Samaritan Center’s annual Stock Their Locker program.
Supplies are still being collected through the end of the month at one additional local Morning Pointe center.
“Thank you for your partnership in hosting a barrel to help children in need of school readiness to enrich their lives for a hopeful future,” said Rocquel Thompson, community relations coordinator with The Samaritan Center.
“What a wonderful way to support our community,” said Greg A. Vital, Morning Pointe co-founder and president. “We are always proud to support The Samaritan Center, a well-respected organization, as it provides much-needed resources and support to those in need. Our residents love children, and I know it gave them and their families a special sense of joy to participate in this school-supply drive.”
Morning Pointe has a long history of philanthropy involving residents, families, associates and its two owners, Mr. Vital and Franklin Farrow. Throughout August, Morning Pointe communities across the Southeast are collecting school supplies to support their local schools
