identity Pet Nutrition (http://www.identitypet.com), manufacturer of human grade wet pet foods & air-dried treats is excited to announce they are relocating their headquarters from the Denver metro area to Windsor, CO.
Founded in 2018, identity specializes in alternative, high meat wet dog & cat foods using regionally sourced Canadian ingredients that are free-range, grass-fed, hormone, antibiotic & GMO-free. The quality of their products is unrivaled in the industry. Most recently they launched human grade gently cooked diets that compete with brands like Farmer’s Dog, Ollie, Nom Nom, A Pup Above and several others. Their imagine by identity gently cooked product line is the highest meat diet currently available to consumers with 95% meat or poultry. The gently cooked, human-grade pet food space is the fastest growing category in the pet food industry. The company also maintains a fast-growing direct to consumer website (http://www.identitypet.com).
The move will enable identity to grow their employee base in one of America’s fastest growing regions & further control their online distribution strategy. They plan to distribute their gently cooked frozen foods from Windsor, as well as maintain global day-to-day operations for the brand. The move will also position them strategically for the future, as they plan for the potential to manufacture new products within the region.
identity is 100% wholly owned by Jeremy & Trevar Petersen, 11+ year veterans of the pet food industry.
“Relocating to Windsor allows our company to be closer to the agricultural roots that power & inspire our company. My brother and I grew up in Greeley, we attended high school at Greeley West High School, and our love of pets & the food we feed them was first developed in Northern Colorado. We currently manufacture our products at co-manufacturers in Ontario & Quebec, Canada but we already use several vendors within the Greeley, Windsor and Ft. Collins area. Weld County is extremely business friendly and we look forward to growing our business, in a place where we first found our roots over the coming years, while giving back through employment & intern opportunities. Access to FedEx’s growing network in the region was also extremely attractive for our direct to consumer business,” said Jeremy J. Petersen, Founder, President & CEO.
The company will initially maintain retail operations for their branded products from the location too, while they work to add new retailers in the region. Their offices are located at 9217 Eastman Park Dr, Unit 4, Windsor, CO 80550.
“A lot of exciting developments have taken hold in the Windsor area over the past 20 years. In the last year Windsor has rooted themselves firmly in the pet food industry with PetDine & Intersand opening new operations. The future is so bright! We’re excited to add to the strong entrepreneurial spirit & agricultural legacy of the region for many years to come,” added Trevar Petersen, Founder & COO.
The Company will open operations at the location in February 2023.
