Cleaning up after pups never looked so chic.
King Charles’ country home, Sandringham Estate, has a stylish solution to keeping its lawn freshly manicured — selling dog poo bag holders for 16.99£ ($19.49) for visitors to clean up after their canines.
The multi-purpose poop accessory is an oversized keychain that clips onto belts, bags or keys, and comes leather-bound and embossed with the royal estate’s name and logo in gold, concealing the baggies. It’s being sold alongside other doggy items such as treats, shampoo, toys and beds, according to Jam Press.
Sandringham’s website says its Royal Park is pet-friendly and equipped with water stations, though pooches are not permitted in Sandringham’s gardens or house, unless they are service animals.
The website also shares a friendly reminder to pick up after pets, so perhaps the royal shop thought it would be best to try monetizing off the cleanup.
“Never forget poo bags on your walks again,” a description for the doggy waste bags on Sandringham’s website reads, noting that the accessories are indeed made from leather.
The gimmicky sales pitch is perhaps meant to enforce Sandringham’s rules for pets visiting the property.
“Please clean up after your dog and do not leave your dog unattended in a car under any circumstances,” Sandringham’s website advises.
Pet lovers can also browse the estate’s Happy Hound dog collection, which features dog treats for $5.72; a plaid tweed treat bag for $22.90; a cognac colored leather dog collar in various sizes with a large costing $45.81; and doggy shampoo for $17.17.
