Four residents sent to hospital, one pet deceased in north … – CHAT News Today
LETHBRIDGE, AB – Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a blaze at a north side home early Tuesday morning.
At around 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, crews from four stations tended to a single family house fire in the 1100 block of 19 Street North.
The City of Lethbridge reported that responders found extensive smoke coming from the residence as well as all the residents outside. Crews entered the home and extinguished the fire on the main floor.
Four residents were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries and smoke inhalation. Officials noted that one pet was found deceased, while another pet was rescued.
Damage from the incident is estimated at $200,000. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
