An online fashion entrepreneur kicked a pregnant woman in the stomach during a fight about a missing dog following a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee street party in Middlesbrough.
Businesswoman Paige Smith, 20, had been drinking cocktails at the party on June 2 to celebrate 70 years of the Queen’s reign when she began arguing with two women about a missing dog.
She went on the attack Victoria Fowler and Michaela Bedford.
Smith, of Wilkinson Grove, near James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, admitted two charges of common assault.

Prosecutor Greg Flaxen told Teesside Magistrates’ Court of the incident and said that one of the victims, who happened to be pregnant, was kicked in the stomach.
Defence solicitor Julian Gaskin told the court the attack was ‘totally out of character’ and that his client was ‘ashamed’ of her actions.
He said that Smith is self employed and runs her own online fashion business earning £35,000 a year. He added that she is a psychology graduate and that she has no previous convictions.
Describing the ‘unusual case’, Mr Gaskin told the court: ‘This was completely out of the blue. She had been at a party and had some cocktails. There was then an argument about the dog’.
He said Smith has been ‘grabbed’ and had ‘kicked out’ but did not intentionally kick the woman in the stomach.
The court heard that the dog the women had argued over was later found.
District Judge Marie Mallon fined Smith £750 and ordered her to pay £200 each to her victims.
