Dee-O-Gee, a pet product store, grooming and daycare center, kicked off a grand opening with a ribbon cutting Friday morning at 6001 Hughes Crossing in Franklin.
Co-owners Josh and Holly Allen founded the franchise in 2008 in Bozeman, Montana. Shawn Day is owner and operator of Franklin’s Dee-O-Gee store.
“I am very honored to be here and honored to serve this community,” Day said. “I started this business because I wanted to have a business of my own and be self-supporting. I found Josh and Holly through a mutual friend … and they have some beautiful stores all over the Northwest and now spreading down into Tennessee.
“Pets are a passion for me. I didn’t want to do anything in the food industry because of COVID-19, so I decided on pets.”
Day cut the red ribbon alongside staff, opening the store.
“With more than 150 locations across the nation as well as our certified pet dietitians and nutrition specialists, you can trust our Dee-O-Gee staff to give you and your fur baby the best grooming, nutrition, dog daycare experience around,” the Dee-O-Gee website states.
Dee-O-Gee is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 12-6 p.m. For more information, visit www.dee-o-gee.com
