Chrissy Teigen, Bethenny Frankel, Carrie Underwood and Abby Wambach to Participate in Cincinnati’s Kroger Wellness Festival – Cincinnati CityBeat
By CityBeat Staff on Wed, Aug 31, 2022 at 3:05 pm
Kroger is bringing its Wellness Festival back to The Banks with a big ol’ roster of health and fitness celebs, wellness experts and… Carrie Underwood.
The goal of the festival is to “provide a variety of interactive healthy opportunities for the entire family,” Kroger Health president Colleen Lindholz said in a release from GameDay PR.
The two-day festival runs from Sept 23-24 and has a unique lineup of over 60 panel discussions plus food demonstrations and live music.
Chrissy Teigen, a cookbook author, Sports Illustrated model and wife of locally-born-and-raised singer/producer John Legend, will host a 30-minute cooking segment and a fireside chat alongside her mother, Pepper Teigen.
Bethenny Frankel, former cast member on the The Real Housewives of New York City, entrepreneur and diet book author, will “share her approach to fearlessly leading with her gut, embracing being a ‘multi-hyphenate woman’ and laying a foundation for greatness through investing in her wellness.”
Famed country singer Carrie Underwood will not be singing, but instead will be hosting a 30-minute “cardio blast” with her trainer Eve Overland.
FIFA World Cup Champion and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Abby Wambach will be doing a moderated conversation and Q&A, plus a meet and greet.
Other sporty stars slated to appear and lead sessions include Love Squad founder Ally Love, Olympic Gold Medalist Dominique Dawes and body builder Allison Warrell.
Former star of The Bachelor, Matt James, will also be slinging his signature Vita Coco Smoothie — sans reality dating show-level drama though, unfortunately.
Bravo Top Chef star Brian Malarkey will also be one of the culinary guests.
Musical acts Fitz and The Tantrums and the Eli Young Band will headline the live music stages.
In addition to spotlighting wellness trends, the fest also acts as a way for Kroger to share info about its various health and sustainability initiatives.
“As America’s grocer, our festival pillars coincide with our goal of offering the best resources for holistic well-being to the public,” Colleen Lindholz, president of Kroger Health, says in a release. “We look forward to inspiring thousands to begin a new wellness journey with support from leading brands, guest health experts, entertainers, and more.”
The Kroger Wellness Festival takes place 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sept. 23 and 24 at The Banks, Downtown. Admission is free. For more info and updates, visit kroger.com.
