Even if you don’t necessarily want to dress up your pets, you can treat them to some spooky fun with the new Halloween Goody Box from Chewy. These holiday boxes are available for both dogs and cats, and when we tested them out, the curated bundles were a big hit with our furry friends. 
Goody Boxes are curated collections of toys and treats for your pet, available exclusively from Chewy. They’re similar to a subscription like BarkBox, but the main difference is that Goody Boxes are one-time purchases, not recurring deliveries. The boxes start at around $24.99, and each one contains five or more full-size items, often from Chewy’s in-house brands like Frisco and American Journey.
There are typically several Goody Boxes available on the Chewy website, including options for both large and small dogs, puppies, cats and kittens. There are special Goody Boxes for birthdays, and the brand also introduces seasonal Goody Boxes around big holidays, such as Halloween and Christmas. 
Chewy recently released its new Halloween Goody Boxes, so of course, we wanted to see what was included. We purchased the Haunted Tails Cat Goody Box, and my kitten Piper was more than happy to help us evaluate its contents. Here are all the products that came in this Goody Box:
The items in the box total more than $35 in value, so you definitely save some money purchasing the collection instead of buying the products separately. 
Given that she’s a kitten with endless amounts of energy, Piper had a blast diving into her Goody Box—literally. Before I could even snap a few photos, she was climbing into the box to see what treats awaited her. 
The first thing she grabbed were the catnip-filled spiders, which she could easily carry by their legs. She dragged one out of the box and ran off to play with it, until one of my dogs took it from her. Undeterred, she returned to the box—a toy in itself, honestly—to see what else she could play with. This time, the salmon-flavored squeeze-up treats caught her attention, and she began chewing on the package. I indulged her with one of the tubes of fish-flavored goop, and while the smell and texture grossed me out a little, Piper had no such complaints. 
However, the real winner in this box was undeniably the Halloween-themed play tunnel, which has a fun checkered exterior and makes a crinkly noise when your cat crawls inside. As soon as I unfolded the tunnel, Piper dove right in, and she’s practically lived in there ever since. She loves that there’s a dangling bat that she can sneak attack, and she gets great pleasure from hiding in the tunnel before jumping out to grab my—or the dog’s—feet. It’s definitely a 10/10 in her book!
We’ve been fans of Chewy Goody Boxes ever since they were introduced, and the quality of this product hasn’t waned over the years. We’ve tested dog Goody Boxes and cat Goody Boxes, and they’ve always contained top-quality products that were a hit with our pets—and the new Halloween Goody Box is no exception! My kitten got days of entertainment from the toys and treats included in the box, and the fun seasonal theme was an added bonus. (The brand also recently released its winter holiday Goody Boxes, which look equally adorable.)
Bottom line: You can’t go wrong getting a Goody Box for your pet. You’ll get a variety of full-size toys and snacks for a great price, allowing you to treat your furry friend to a fun surprise, and the one-time purchase is much less of a commitment than a full-on subscription box. There’s really no downside!
