Buckhead Village reports record sales, 11 new concepts coming – Urbanize Atlanta

Atlanta
As in-person everything becomes the newest version of normal, Atlanta’s toniest outdoor shopping district reports that brick-and-mortar is not only still alive—but that business has never been better.
Like a cheery contrast to recent headlines that cornerstone business Hermés could soon depart for Phipps Plaza, Buckhead Village’s ownership reached out to Urbanize Atlanta today with food-and-beverage performance statistics that suggest the property’s strong pandemic rebound is continuing.
Nearly a dozen new tenants—offering everything from a pop-up cocktail lounge and international coastal cuisine to Pilates—are also expected to open soon at Buckhead Village, according to owners Jamestown Properties.

Covering a half-dozen blocks with 300,000 square feet of retail, the razed, reborn, and now refreshed shopping and dining hub in central Buckhead was bought by Ponce City Market developers Jamestown three years ago. They shed “The Shops Buckhead Atlanta” name and adopted simply “Buckhead Village” as part of a rebranding push in 2020.
Now, Jamestown officials report Buckhead Village food-and-beverage tenants recorded their highest sales to date in the first half of 2022, notching a property-wide, 27.7-percent increase over the same time period in 2019.
Meanwhile, contemporary fashion retailers’ gross sales at Buckhead Village in the first half of 2022 exceeded 2021 numbers by more than 25 percent, Jamestown reports.
Having signed 12 new leases and eight renewals since November, Jamestown has recently leased more than 61,000 square feet of space throughout the property.

Over the past three years, Jamestown’s efforts to reimagine Buckhead Village have included new public spaces—an open-air Veranda porch for live music and coffee pop-ups, plus a pedestrians-only Center Plaza—in addition to updated storefronts, greenspaces, and branding.
More recent openings at Buckhead Village have included Saint-Germain French Bakery and Café, California-based lifestyle brand Jenni Kayne, furniture brand Interior Define, women’s apparel brand Veronica Beard, and the latest outpost of dog-park bar Fetch Park.
Jamestown says its goal is to continue to fill out the property with a mix of local restaurants, small businesses such as artists and jewelry makers, in addition to luxury brands.

In terms of new Buckhead Village offerings on the horizon, Jamestown provided summaries of businesses expected to debut at the district in coming weeks and months, as condensed here:
