PASR Picnic
The Clinton County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR) invites ALL SCHOOL RETIREES and guests to a picnic on Wednesday, Aug. 31, at 12 p.m. (come at 11 a.m. to socialize) at the Grove Community Park in Flemington to celebrate The First Day of School. School retirees should bring a covered dish to share, and their own place settings & beverages. PASR will provide table covers & napkins. Unlike in the past, hot dogs will not be provided. This is a great opportunity to socialize informally outdoors with former colleagues and friends and to invite newly retired staff to attend.
TOPS
TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) is looking for interested participants and guest speakers. Weigh-ins are from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. each Monday afternoon, followed by the business meeting at 5 p.m. TOPS is held at the Flemington First Church of Christ, 714 Canal St., Mill Hall.
Guest speakers are being sought to give a 15-20 minute presentation (or demonstration) on nutrition, forms of exercising or other healthy habits during the meetings.
