PARK CITY, Utah— If your pup could talk, chances are they would ask for a treat. Kris and Sadie Gabler began researching pets’ nutritional needs many years ago after having a dog diagnosed with cancer. After discovering startling information about the current dog treat market from questioning experts, they realized they needed to take matters into their own hands and produce healthier alternatives for pet owners— that’s when Drool was born.
“After moving to Park City and realizing the love this town has for their dogs, it was a no-brainer for Sadie and I to continue the quest to educate about better nutrition for pets,” Kris said. “That’s our goal with Drool. To use our healthy biscuits to teach that real food is what our pets need. Our biscuits are made with natural, human-grade ingredients. We locally source our ingredients as much as we can. The majority of our biscuits are made with oats and oat flour that is more digestible for dogs. The proteins are dehydrated.”
Each biscuit is named after human meals, Taco Tuesday, Sunday Supper, etc., to offer a word association of sorts, so that pet owners give some extra thought to what they are feeding their four-legged friends. Through their research, the Gablers discovered that a dog’s health is directly related to its nutrition.
“Sadie and I hope Drool will one day be a ‘dog lifestyle,’” Kris said. “Our vision is to be a source for dog owners to educate themselves on all things available to have a long and healthy life for our four-legged family members.”
