Being a snow bunny has never been so exciting—and fashionable.
As we finally swap our cozy knits for giant puffers, hats, and gloves, our minds tend to turn toward the mountains. From Aspen to Courchevel to Stowe, snowy escapes provide a chance to hit the slopes, drink hot chocolate, or just sit fireside with that book you still haven’t gotten around to reading. Lately, sports-inspired collections have been everywhere, and this season, there is no shortage of mountain-ready looks to make heads turn. Whatever your level of activity, there’s a bounty of ski (and après-ski) collections, collaborations, and must-haves from the usual luxury suspects Dior and Gucci, to Khaite and Farm Rio, to ski brands you know and love, like Head. Keep scrolling to explore all things ski.
Gucci is decamping to a cozy winter cabin for the rest of the year with its Après-Ski collection. The offering includes selections of Gucci x Adidas, like the long knit cardigan here, alongside shearling handbags and puffer boots that are sure to keep your feet (and wallet) warm. All the trappings of Gucci-fied sportswear are at your fingertips, including a luxe set of aluminum trolleys made in partnership with FPM Milano, ensuring your ski suit makes it to the mountain with you in style.
This one is for the cool girls who don’t necessarily want to hit the slopes in tech-heavy gear. The Khaite girl is always minimal, but down to make a statement. Enter this metallic cropped puffer, which complements baby-soft fair isle cashmere knits and the perfect pompomm-ed balaclava that will turn heads and also mesh well with your city wardrobe.
If you’re a maximalist, then this collection is for you. LoveShackFancy embraces all things floral, pink, and bright, and it’s teamed up with skiwear magnates Bogner FIRE + ICE for an extensive collab. From this perfect puffer in multiple floral prints to layering pieces, hats, and boots, this line embraces the ’80s ski aesthetic of more is more is more.
Michael Kors is synonymous with effortless chic American sportswear. The brand launched a collab with Ellesse earlier in the year, and continues its successful streak with the sporty-chic Italian brand, but this time for the slopes. The signature Ellesse colors and silhouettes get the MK treatment with technical fabrics and a metropolitan flair. It even includes fluffy boots and an even fluffier Slater sling crossbody, melding the worlds of city and slope for an instant classic. (And it’s EmRata-approved.)
Apparis, for the unaware, has garnered a cult following for its vegan fur coats that look almost exactly like the real thing. Founder Lauren Nouchi grew up skiing in France and found a lot of the offerings to be uber-expensive. Keeping in line with her brand’s vision, she and co-founder Amelie Brick created a vegan ski collection full of retro-inspired puffers, super-soft sweaters, and colorblock cardigans, along with shearling accessories that offer all the warmth of real fur without the cruelty.
MyTheresa continues its partnership with Dolce & Gabbana in a ski capsule that is destined for the Italian Alps. Dolce’s signature all-over script print takes on new life in technical nylon long johns, puffers, and jumpsuits. The collection provides the whole range of skiwear, including goggles, skis, hats, and boots that ensure la dolce vita includes below-zero temperatures.
Perfect Moment is one of the pinnacles of luxury skiwear, creating technical gear that doesn’t compromise on style. It’s become a go-to for ski bunnies across all the major luxury ski capitals, and now, it’s teamed up with denim stalwart DL1961 for a jean-infused capsule fit for the mountain. Our personal favorite? The houndstooth set (pictured here) that is sure to stand out amongst the shinier sets on those blue runs.
Dior is doubling down on its ski offering with the super-luxe DiorAlps collection. The house’s signature star and Oblique pattern cut a mean figure on the snow, with technical gear designed to stand out amongst a sea of basic black jackets.
Brazilian brand Farm Rio has made waves this year with its easy-as-1, 2, 3 collection of resortwear that is affordable, sustainably made, and impactful. For its first foray into winter gear, it’s featuring four striking new prints across nine different products—all made for mixing and matching if you want to bring a little Copacabana to Chamonix.
ASPENX is the new go-to destination for Aspenites who descend on the snowy city nestled in the Rockies each winter. Created by entrepreneur Paula Crown, the boutique offers the best of the best when it comes to re-upping on winter duds. The retailer has once again teamed up with Prada for a capsule made in Italy and inspired by the topography of Aspen Snowmass’s trail maps, bringing together Italian savoir-faire and Aspen terrain for a collab that’s as chic as it is infinitely wearable.
French skiwear juggernaut Fusalp is celebrating 70 years of creating the best looks the Alps have likely ever seen, with its iconic Maria ski suit being a regular on the winter Euro circuit. The brand has enlisted Camille Miceli of Pucci to collab on a range of puffers, suits, and knits that embody the ’70s retro glamour of both entities, demonstrating that both classic Pucci patterns and technical details never, ever go out of style.
Mackage is a household name for a reason, bringing bold silhouettes and cutting-edge fabrications to the forefront of the legendary brand. Its latest ski collection offers cinched jackets in daring materials, puffer pants, and base layers that provide all the warmth you need to last until the last lift runs.
Holden is a California-based luxury brand that melds the worlds of sport and Cali chill for timeless clothes that are as fitting for city life as they are for the mountain. Its minimalist take on activewear provides the perfect jumping off point for building outfits that feel unique without breaking the bank, or harming the planet. Its sustainable ethos and diverse product offering speak to every level of skier and snowboarder.
If you’re the kind of person who travels on a ski trip and doesn’t want to sacrifice a tech-heavy fit for the ‘gram, consider Year of Ours your new BFF. The (very) reasonably-priced winter collection is chock-full of outfits destined for sitting around the fire and/or hitting the hotel gym while your friends shred it up.
Halfdays is shaking up the straightforward business of outdoor wear, with everybody and every body in mind. The founders felt most ski brands used the same claustrophobic silhouettes with the same colors, for one specific type of body. Not only does Halfdays offer competitive pricing and a size range for everyone—it’s intent on using sustainable materials, because you should feel good in your clothes and feel good about where they came from, right? It’s no coincidence that its cult Pieper fleece is downright adorable. Also, props for the name—for some of us, a half day of skiing is more than enough.
Sometimes skiwear—and even après-ski collections—can feel too technical. Enter Trovata’s “Le Paradis Ski Lodge” assortment of custom-woven velour trackies that deliver on warmth without skewing too sporty. These relaxed suits are as perfect for lounging in the lodge as they are for working from home and running errands, sans snow.
Head’s commitment to being the best means working with the best to create a line of skiwear that not only looks good, but helps you down the slopes at every turn. That’s why it enlisted the legend Lindsey Vonn to create a capsule of puffers, vests, and even a dog coat for all your winter needs. This ivory ski suit comes in a vast size range and is right on the money to perform like an Olympian.
Matchesfashion is highly curated to its jet-setting customer’s needs year-round, and The Ski Edit is no exception. For those who aren’t totally brand loyal and are open to trying new labels, Matches has curated the best that the ski world has to offer. We Norwegians, a company from what’s arguably considered to be the ski capital of the world (Norway!), gives a Scandi update to beloved and trusted base layers.
