Dole Sunshine Co. has taken aim at  malnutrition in England with a new campaign featuring a modified nutrition warning label.
The ad, via St. Luke’s and Bombas & Parr, shows a label, “Malnutrition Facts,” saying that the label has more nutrition in it than other foods than “a side of fries” or  “a whole pack of chocolate digestives.”
Dole was able to make that claim because the ink used to make those labels were made with purees of various fruits, including grapes, blueberries and pineapple.
“It does make you think for a second,” says one interviewee. “Everyone should know what we have in our food,” says another. Still another finds what the ad is saying “actually terrifying.”
The ad directs viewers to the site changethefacts.com, which encourages people to eat more fruits.
