Pink in the Park on Oct. 15
While it’s no secret that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, not many know that Pink in the Park is put on by and for Breast Cancer Survivors.
Gifts of Hope Executive Director Clint Dickson said, “This event exists to honor the fighters, survivors, meta-thrivers and those who fought before. The people represented by our event have strength, beauty, and colorful personalities, so we want to showcase that while making the community aware of the prevalence of breast cancer.”
The event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 15 at Midland’s Centennial Park. There will be a local breast cancer survivor sharing her experience, a fashion show, raffle items, a food truck, ice cream, music, local community partners, and a survivor lap.
