Bond Vet – a female-led veterinary urgent care option for pets – is nearing debut on the Lower East Side.
The company signed a lease at 242 Broome Street in Essex Crossing, a space that had been predominantly vacant since the fourteen-story host building was erected five years ago (with the exception of its role as a Covid vaccination site). Opening day is scheduled for September 12, per a recent mailer.
As previously reported, Bond Vet offers both primary care and urgent care veterinary services including wellness exams, vaccines, spay/neuters, as well as surgeries, dental cleanings, and international health certificates. Same-day and walk-in appointments are also available alongside online bookings.
Bond Vet was founded in Cobble Hill in 2019 and has been expanding ever since. This Lower East Side location is the sixteenth clinic in the Five Boroughs.
The company will host an Open House party on Saturday, September 10 from 12pm to 2pm with a dog fashion show, pet portraits, and raffles. All proceeds will benefit the Lower East Side Girls Club.

Sadly, he passed away in 2010 at the age of 50. HESA was in high school during the late 1980s, when he met […]
The Lower East Side Ecology Center this month marks a major milestone. Thirty-five years of urban sustainability in the neighborhood. The nonprofit began life in Alphabet City, 1987. For the last year, however, the Ecology Center has been headquartered inside the original park house in Seward Park, which received a facelift in 2016. Forced to […]
It’s a game of pharmacy switcharoo at 408 Grand Street. The Rite-Aid at the corner of Clinton Street closed back in May. Its replacement is likely more of the same. Word on the street is that Walgreens is set to take over the vacated pharmacy. Which would also make sense given that prescriptions at this […]
