Some happy news for a dog with a sad story.
Nona is a 5-year-old Jack Russell terrier/retriever mix who was being sheltered by the Kentucky Humane Society.
The dog was shot back in 2018, leaving her with a mangled snout. She has to wear a muzzle. It doesn’t hurt her, but KHS said it does cause her to snore loudly. She also has a cataract in her left eye and can’t see very well.
While she did get adopted, she had to be returned as she didn’t get along with the other dogs, KHS said.
But, over the weekend, she got a second chance — she got adopted.
KHS says despite her issues, she’s the happiest dog on the planet.
