MIDLAND, MI – Dogs will be up on the fashion runway this week as a part of a fundraiser for a Midland area animal rescue.
The Midland County Pit Stop is holding a “K9 Katwalk” event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 19. The event is meant to raise funds to cover veterinary care and supply costs for the pets that Midland County Pit Stop cares for annually. According to the Pit Stop, the organization’s vetting and supply costs were paid for with $52,863.28 in donations.
A dog fashion show will be the highlight of the event where dogs will show off their outfits to the crowd. Prior to the fashion show, there will be two silent auction rounds. The event will finish off with a karaoke competition. Karaoke participants can make a small donation to participate.
Tickets are $40 each and include a meal at either the NOM NOM Ninja food truck or the Wonder Burger truck. Tickets for the event are available at www.midlandcountypitstop.org or in person at Lil’ Pear Tree, 702 S. Saginaw from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Walk-up ticket sales will also be available the night of the event.
