I never used to be a hat person. I have a small head, so I always struggled to find things that fit me well and that I thought looked good on. As I started approaching my 30’s I realized I needed to just try something, because I knew my skin needed extra protection if I wanted to remain looking youthful and take care of my fair skin!
After shopping around, I decided on a straw boater from Janessa Leone. It quickly became my favorite hat and the one I always grabbed before heading out the door. I’ve accumulated other hats over the years, but it always seemed to be the one that finished any outfit the best. It’s still in great condition, but I figured it was time to add another hat into the mix, if only to keep my beloved in hat in rotation for years to come. So I finally replaced my trusty boater with a new style from Janessa Leone this spring and it has quickly become my new favorite.
The Felix is a raffia bucket hat that has a cool, effortless vibe when on. It feels even easier to pair with everything in my wardrobe, so I look for any excuse to throw it on—taking the dog for a walk, running to the market for dinner ingredients, etc. It’s just as perfect for strolling around the city as it is for lying on the beach. I’ve even worn it from day into the evening, when a hat is no longer necessary, because I love the way it completes a look.
So if you see me this summer on a sunny day, chances are you’ll see me in this hat!
